A NEWBIE IN MARATHAHALLI | WAREABOUTS

For whatever reason I choose this place, I am glad i did. This is one hell of a place with perfect mood and environment for a birthday celebration.

We had planned our friends surprise birthday here, and everything worked out as expected without a glitch. It was one such days were even the unexpected things went on smoothely. And what was special? After a very long time, all of us friends could make it for this party, kinda like a get together.

We had 2 sets of cake one to cut and one to cake his face, we had his present ready at home and all of us managed to come on time and wait for the birthday boy to arrive. It was one heck of a party.

Although he had managed to guess we would turn up for his bday party, we did manage to surprise him with 3 faces that he wasnt expecting.

After the bday song and the wishes and the hugs we finally settled down on a huge table and started our gaga’s. Meanwhile we placed an order for a bottle of wine and mocktails for the non-alcoholic drinkers.

We ordered for a veg and non veg platter followed by a baby corn Manchurian. All the dishes were an instant hit among the group. This was followed by Chicken Biryani, pasta, veg thai curry and roti sabji. All the dishes we ordered were satisfactory and tasted good. I would definitely want to try this place out sometime in future.

The papayas were nicely grilled and so were the paneer. The mushrooms tasted amazingly nice and the gobi was nicely grilled. The galouti kebab was nicely done and so was the aloo balls. The pasta blended well with white sauce and the thai curry was exactly like i wanted. All in all a very happy meal.

They also serve buffet which usually happens n the floor one level below to this. But we wanted to try the ala cart.

AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE | TANDOOR

A couple of months back i met one of my oldest and closest friend after a very long time. She was just back from UK after her MSc and we were meeting may be a year and a half later. I must say i was quite excited to listen to her drunk stories and boys and her experience in detail in addition to the goodies she got me. **wide smile** **wink wink**.

Since she was always surrounded with non- Indian non-spicy cuisines she was desperate for some lip smacking biryanis and rotis. After careful browsing of the food apps we finally settled for Tandoor in MG road. The ratings for this place was above par and everything seemed perfect. As we drove past this place the outer ambiance was just a 'meh' and this made us rethink. We were just going to find another place when the food aura from the restaurant made us change our opinion once again and we ended up driving to tandoor.

The interiors of  this food joint was something similar to being inside a palace, i mean not exactly as rich as a palace interiors but something similar. Slowly we started enjoying the rustic look and once we were settled in we perused through the menu and decided to go for a Masala Papad, Veg pakora and Paneer Pudina Tikka. This was followed by rotis, Paneer Lababdar, Mutton Shahi Kurma, Veg Biryani and Yellow Dal.

Little do i experience a place where i have nothing to complain about and i keep a smiling face with every dish that i taste, and this was one such place. I loved each and every dish they served to the fullest especially the starters. Little did i know that i would recommend this place to everyone looking for a north indian restaurant on MG road. A must try!

OVERHYPED ATLEAST IN FOOD GENRE | RASTA CAFE

Right from the first time i heard about this place i had been quite thrilled to pay a visit here. Wanting to go to this place from quite sometime i always made plans with my friends and it always failed drastically. Like i say sometime Karma is a Bitch. Luckily to my luck we finally made it to Rasta Cafe one fine night. Is still remember, it was the last day of my MS class, and we all were quite bummed about it but thrilled too. So to celebrate this vivacious moment of mixed feelings we decided to ride onto the Mysore road at night click some pics, enjoy what Rasta cafe had to offer and then drive back home at mid-night.

To be completely frank i was quite happy and enjoyed the night thoroughly except for the food Rasta Cafe had to offer. After listening to people brag and brag about it for months together my picture on rasta Cafe was quite different from what i actually experienced. Was I happy? May be. But all that drained when I tasted the food. All of us ordered for a Veg/Non-Veg burger with some mocktails.
The mocktails was sugary and tasted like tonic and the burgers were quite bland too.

I guess over the passing months Rasta Cafe received quite a lot of fame which directly effected their food quality, and this is one thing that cannot be forgiven or forgotten about any restaurants.

Would i go again? No way! I shelled enough of money on my first visit here, i dont plan to shell more.

A ROMANTIC DINING SPOT IN KORAMANGALA | CHIANTI

To be frank, the place pretty much borders on perfection. Flawless on all accounts and totally impressive in every way imaginable. Intimate and relaxed with impeccable cuisine that is both intricate yet simple at the same time. It has a certain delicacy and mystique. They know what they’re doing without trying too hard; the kind of place you start planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your first meal. And, as the title suggests, it is a great place for a date (or any other occasion for that matter).

IN FOR A QUICK LUNCH WITH A COUPLE HUNDRED BUCKS IN POCKET | AANGAN

If you are looking for not so expensive north indian food this is one option available to you in Bellandur. Popular among quite a lot of bachelors for quick food this place serves decent North Indian food. The other day after a rejuvenating shopping at Central me and my mom hopped into this place for a quick lunch. We ordered for a masala papad and roti's with kaju masala. Masala Papad was ok types, it could be made better though. All tehy did was toast a Lijjat papad and tossed in some tomatoes and onions over it. Roti was like roti's and Kaju Masala was eatable.

One issue i found here is parking. While i found bike parking difficult i wonder what cars would do.

Would i go here again? May be if i were to grab a quick lunch and had only a couple of hundred bucks in my pocket.

ANOTHER GREAT PLACE FOR VEG BUFFET | RAJDHANI

My trip to Rajdhani has been numerous times. I had been to there 2 outlets and every time i place my foot here I fall in love with Rajdhani all over again. They have this humongous spread of veg buffet served right at your table. The staff is very courteous and friendly or i must say sometime over friendly by pushing your stomach barriers inch by inch to make place for the ever flowing food. The one thing i admire about this place is the Mr washer (i named him this for my convenience, no offense intended ;) ) helping us wash our hands with luke-warm water in the traditional fashion right at our table. So in short all you need to do is drag your butt to the near Rajdhani and place yourself on the sofa, be rest assured that the staff will take care of everything else, offcourse except for the bill :p Although the buffet could cost you 400 change per head i prefer going on tuesdays when they offer buffet for 225 per head, common guys its definitely a worthy offer. Also one thing i am yet to try here is the tiffin they provide on working day for 100 bucks.

Since I am registered at Rajdhani they keep sending me offers for the buffet menu so dont forget to sign up.

The only con i could anticipate from these visits are the ambiance. I believe they could work on this aspect a tad bit more to give it a more Rajdhani look.

GREAT PLACE FOR VEG BUFFET | VILLAGE

Its been a while since i had been wanting to review this place. An excellent choice for buffet if you want to escape your city life and just get a feel of village life. Great ambiance, good food, and fun activities that also includes Dandiya. I had a ball when i visited this food hole.
The only con i could think of is they serve pure veg food thus reducing few folks to not choose this place.
